A cigar is a valuable investment. So when you’ve purchased a cigar it’s important to store it correctly. Discover how to store your cigars at home.

What you need to know when storing a cigar

Long filler cigars are produced in countries with high humidity. That’s why a cigar should be stored at a temperature of around 18 °C and in a relative humidity of 65 to 75 percent. The easiest way to do this is with a humidor.

What is a humidor?

A humidor is a storage box that keeps your cigars in good condition. The box imitates the humidity of the country where the cigar was made. This is done by moistening the box with a sponge, humidifiers or humi-care crystals. Each humidor is different and often reflects the taste of the cigar aficionado. This is why you’ll find a humidor in every price range.
